Christmas Wood Craft

Another craft that Daniel and I decided to recreate for a Christmas gift this year. This one was for my mom and dad:

It was one of my favorite projects so far. We covered our dining room table with plastic wrap and let Madilyn help us with all of the painting! Daniel did the cutting and the sanding, we all painted and I added the finishing touches:) A great family project~!

Blessings…

Daniel and I decided to make all of our Christmas gifts this year. Here is what we came up with for my in laws:

Cute right? My inspiration came from one of my favorite craft blogs (TBA) and I added my own little twist!

Brody’s Monkey Quilt

A special quilt for a very special little boy…
DSC01645
I started working on this quilt early this summer and intended on giving it as a baby shower gift. Needless to say, thanks to an exhausting pregnancy, I finally delivered it now that little Brody is 4 months old. Better late than never I guess:)

It was super easy and came out looking SO CUTE! I had so much fun making this one that I ended up making two more for Madilyn’s friends!

Madilyn’s Cinderella Dress

When Madilyn said she wanted to be a princess for Halloween I began searching blogs for ideas. I didn’t have to look farther than my favorite blog, Make It and Love It where I found this Tutorial. Ten trips to Jo-Anns and about 15 hours of sewing later, I created this:

Now really, can you tell the difference between this Cinderella and the real one?? I sure can’t:) Now only one problem left…how am I going to get it off of her?

Burp Cloths and Baby Showers!

So when my sister-in-law asked me if we could make gifts for a friend of ours that is expecting twins, what else could I say but “YES!”
We started with these super cute burp cloths:

I found this tutorial HERE from my favorite craft blog “Homemade by Jill” when Madilyn was little…and they are the best! Super easy and super practical!

Then we went crazy making adorable little onsies to match:

Butterfly Quilt

Yay! The first quilt that I have ever finished!
DSC08556
I appliquéd each butterfly to the quilt, machine quilted the entire blanket myself, and did all the binding:) I love it!
